Welcome to the Garden

Welcome

A hand-drawn watercolor of an open wooden garden gate with sunlight streaming beyond. Wildflowers bloom around the gate, with small details including a bluebird, butterfly, bee, dragonfly, spider web, caterpillar, inchworm, ladybug, and tiny wild strawberries hidden among the foliage, symbolizing a garden growing from scorched ground.
The gate remains open. Life is beginning to bloom from scorched ground.

I’m glad you found your way here.

This garden is growing from scorched ground.

Not because the ash has been forgotten.

Not because the story became easier.

But because Real Jesus has remained faithful.

If you’ve arrived carrying questions, weariness, wonder, or simply curiosity, you’re welcome here.

If you’ve come from scorched ground and are wondering whether anything can grow again, you’re especially welcome here.

There is no right pace.

Nothing to master.

Nothing to prove.

Nothing to perform.

Walk slowly.

Pause often.

Take only what nourishes.

Leave what doesn’t.

The paths through this garden are simple.

They begin by growing.

By remembering.

By noticing.

By receiving.

By caring for what has been entrusted.

And by walking alongside trusted companions when the time is right.

You don’t need to understand everything to begin.

You don’t even need words.

Sometimes communion begins with a bird singing before sunrise.

Sometimes with bread rising in the oven.

Sometimes with a child’s laughter.

Sometimes with a verse that quietly becomes daily bread.

Sometimes with a single ordinary moment that reminds us we are not alone.

This garden is where I am learning to inhabit life with Real Jesus after scorched ground.

Not perfectly.

Not quickly.

Simply one ordinary day at a time.

Most of what you’ll find here wasn’t planned.

It was noticed.

Received.

Remembered.

The journal that follows isn’t written to teach a method or build a movement.

It is simply a faithful record of a life that is beginning to bloom again.

Simply, field notes along the path.

If something here helps you notice Him in your own ordinary days, I will be grateful.

If not, that’s all right too.

The gate will remain open.

You are welcome to come and go gently.

Thank you for walking alongside me for a little while.
